Teaching assistant (TA) Positions
Each year Prof. Burney hires three TAs (50% positions) for QMII. Prospective TAs must have done well in the course or an equivalent, must be available to attend lectures, and must submit their application through the GPS Student Affairs office (the deadline is typically early November). TAs are selected before Thanksgiving break, and the teaching team works together to prepare before the course starts in January. If you are looking for a challenging and highly collaborative teaching environment, and a chance to cement some of your statistics knowledge, please apply through GPS! Preference will go to GPS students, but PhD and MS/MA students from other departments are welcome to apply.
